Tired of typing “I have three kids, one is allergic to nuts, we’re busy on Tuesdays” every single time? Write it once. This tool turns your answers into a short family profile you paste into Claude or Grok, and from then on every answer already fits your family.
Your answers stay on your screen
Nothing you type here is saved or sent anywhere. The tool only writes text for you to copy. Use first names or nicknames, and leave out anything you wouldn’t want stored by an AI company: no addresses, school names, birthdays or account numbers.
Where to paste it
In Claude
- For your whole account: open Settings and look for the box that asks what personal preferences Claude should consider. Paste your profile there. Every new chat will know it.
- For one part of life: make a Project (for example “Family” or “Homeschool”), open its instructions and paste it there. Only chats inside that Project will use it.
In Grok
- For your whole account: open Settings and look for custom instructions (sometimes called Customize). Paste it there.
- For one part of life: make a Project in Grok and paste it into the Project’s instructions.
Menu names move around as these apps update. If you can’t find the spot, ask the helper itself: “Where do I add custom instructions in this app?”
Keep it fresh
Kids grow, schedules change, someone suddenly likes broccoli. Come back every few months, update your answers here and paste the new version over the old one. It takes two minutes.
Try it tonight
Build your profile, paste it into Claude, then ask: “Plan dinners for this week.” Notice you didn’t have to explain anything.
